About Us
Catalysis for Sustainable, Selective, and Scalable Molecular Synthesis
Our research is primarily directed toward the development of innovative catalytic systems that enable green, sustainable, and atom-economical methodologies for the synthesis of fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and complex bioactive molecules. We design and implement both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic strategies, with an emphasis on first-row transition metal complexes and metal-free systems, to construct complex molecular architectures from simple and renewable precursors. Our key goal is to enable platform molecule generation and late-stage diversification of pharmacologically relevant scaffolds through catalytic protocols that align with the principles of green chemistry.
The major research areas we focus on are:
-
First-row transition metal and metal-free catalysis.
-
Photocatalysis and photoredox-mediated transformations.
-
Asymmetric catalysis and chiral platform development.
